An attorney with deep roots in California, William Ballinger combines a Midwestern upbringing with a long and distinguished career in Southern California law. After receiving a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from UCLA in 1975, William earned a law degree from Western State University in San Diego in 1980. Admitted to the California bar in 1983 and licensed in both state and federal court, William has been practicing law in Southern California since 1985.

William Ballinger is a member of the Business Law Section of the California State Bar, the California Business Alliance For A Green Economy, the California Center For Cooperative Development, and the Sustainable Economy Law Center. With extensive experience in the short-term rental industry, William previously served on the Board of Directors for STRACA (Short Term Rental Alliance of California) and currently consults for the industry on both a statewide and national level.

A resident of Capistrano Beach, William enjoys a variety of outside interests, including drumming, surfing, travel, and music. William is a regular attendee of the Laguna Beach Full Moon Drum Circle and loves spending time with two grown children and granddaughters, India, Viola, and Phoenix.
